Terms of
Use.

The plain-language rules that govern Neoamish — what we promise, what we ask, and how we keep the platform fair for everyone.

Plain language · French law · Mutual respect

The essentials

You must be 16 or older

Building a home is serious. We don't accept minors.

You own your content

Projects, comments, images — they stay yours.

Public projects share under CC BY

Anyone can fork them with credit to you.

Always validate with a professional

Our AI guides you; a licensed pro signs off.

§ 01

Accepting these terms

By using Neoamish, you agree to the rules below. By us publishing them, we agree to keep them fair.

These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between you and Neoamish. They apply the moment you create an account or use any part of the platform — even browsing public projects.

If you don't agree with any part, please don't use the service. If you're under 16, please don't sign up — we want users who can responsibly involve a professional before building.

If you're acting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

§ 02

What we offer

A collaborative platform for designing light steel frame homes, with an AI assistant to keep you safe.

Neoamish is an open platform where anyone can design, share, fork, comment on, and improve light steel frame (LSF) construction projects. We provide visualization tools, an AI assistant that reviews structural decisions, and a directory of local manufacturers and builders.

The service is provided 'as is' — features evolve, projects load and update, occasional downtime happens. We work to keep things reliable but we don't promise zero outages.

Some features may become limited or paid in the future. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any free feature becomes paid for existing accounts.

§ 03

Your account

One person, one account. Keep your credentials safe — you're the only one allowed in.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. Choose a strong password, never share it, and notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including content you publish, comments you post, and any AI assistant interactions. Suspicious or automated activity may lead to suspension.

You may close your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — see the termination section below.

§ 04

Your content

You own what you create. Public projects are shared with the community under CC BY.

Projects, comments, photos, AI chat history, and any other content you create remain your property. You grant Neoamish a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process this content solely to operate and improve the service.

When you mark a project as public, you publish it under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license. Anyone may use, adapt, fork, and redistribute it — including commercially — as long as they credit you.

You promise that the content you upload is yours, or that you have the right to share it. Anything infringing on someone else's rights, illegal, or violating our acceptable use policy may be removed without notice.

§ 05

Our intellectual property

The Neoamish source code is open. The brand and trademarks are not.

The Neoamish platform source code will be published under an OSI-approved open source license once we pass 1,000 users. Until then, the code is source-available for transparency but not licensed for redistribution.

The Neoamish name, logo, wordmark, and visual identity are trademarks of Neoamish. You may not use them to imply endorsement or to brand competing services.

Documentation, marketing copy, illustrations, and product imagery created by us are protected by copyright. You may reference Neoamish honestly (e.g., 'Built with Neoamish') without further permission.

§ 06

Acceptable use

Be honest. Be safe. Don't break the platform — or the people on it.

You agree not to: harass, threaten, or harm other users; upload malicious code; attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours; reverse-engineer or scrape the service in ways that disrupt it; or use the platform for any illegal activity.

Neoamish projects are educational and exploratory. Do not represent AI-generated structural advice as a substitute for licensed engineering review. Every real-world build must be validated by a qualified professional in your jurisdiction before construction.

We use both automated systems and human review to enforce these rules. Repeated or serious violations may lead to permanent account termination.

§ 07

Liability & disclaimers

We provide tools and guidance, not professional engineering. Build responsibly.

Neoamish is a digital tool. Designs, AI suggestions, structural calculations, and material estimates are informational and must be independently verified by a licensed architect, engineer, or builder before any physical construction. We are not responsible for construction outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neoamish disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim — or one hundred euros, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French consumer protection law or other mandatory regulations applicable to you.

§ 08

Termination, changes & governing law

Either side can leave. We'll always tell you before changing the rules.

You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms — with notice where reasonable, immediately for serious violations.

We may update these terms when the platform evolves or the law requires. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will first be addressed via amicable mediation; if unresolved, the courts of Paris will have jurisdiction — except where mandatory consumer protection rules grant you the right to bring action elsewhere.

Got questions about these terms?

Need clarification on a clause, a takedown request, or want to flag something abusive? Write to us and you'll get a reply within seven days — usually much sooner.
